Uganda Cranes fixtures in the November window
FUFA confirmed the home leg on 27 October 2026: Botswana at Hoima City Stadium, Saturday 14 November, kick-off 19:00. The second leg follows in Botswana inside the CAF window for Matchdays 3 and 4, which runs from 9 to 17 November 2026.
FUFA had not published the date of the away leg by 28 October.
Paul Put named a 30-man squad on 28 October. Denis Onyango is among four goalkeepers, Toby Sibbick and Aziizi Kayondo among eleven defenders. The forwards include Allan Okello, Rogers Mato, Arnold Vula and Travis Mutyaba.
Khalid Aucho announced his retirement on 12 October 2026 and captains the side one last time in Hoima. The farewell match is the one most Ugandan punters will price first. The Uganda home page board lists it beside the league fixtures once a brand publishes a line.
Matchdays 5 and 6 close the group from 22 to 30 March 2027, against Tunisia and Libya in the reverse order of September.
Group H after two matchdays
The draw in Cairo on 19 May 2026 put Uganda with Tunisia, Libya and Botswana. Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania host the finals jointly, so the Cranes already hold a place. Only one more team from Group H qualifies.
Matchday 1 was a 1-1 draw at the Hammadi Agrebi Stadium in Radès on 24 September 2026. Alaa Arous scored for Tunisia in the 12th minute. Rogers Mato equalised in the 68th, from a Nathan Asiimwe assist.
Matchday 2 was played at the newly built Hoima City Stadium on 29 September. Arnold Vula headed in an Allan Okello free kick in first-half stoppage time. Uganda beat Libya 1-0 to go top on four points. Libya, held 2-2 by Botswana on Matchday 1, had one point.
Tunisia and Botswana drew 2-2 on 28 September, so each had two points going into the November window. The race for the single open place runs through the Botswana double-header.
Markets priced on a Cranes qualifier and the 15% at payout
The match result, 1X2, is the headline price. Under 1xBet's rules a bet on Handicap (0) is void when the game ends level, which is draw no bet by another name. 22Bet's guide sets out the +0.5 line that wins on a win or a draw. The Asian handicap 0.5 post covers both sides.
Player markets follow the squad list. 1xBet settles "To Score A Goal At Any Time" on regular time, own goals excluded. The anytime goalscorer post has the substitute rules at each brand.
The tax works the same on a Cranes match as on a league one. At 1xBet, NLGRB-BM-26-0206, USh 10,000 at 2.50 returns USh 25,000. The net win is USh 15,000, the 15% is USh 2,250 and USh 22,750 is paid. BetWinner, Paripesa, 888Starz and Linebet withhold nothing and answer to no Ugandan regulator.
The Johannesburg friendly and the road to the finals
Between the September and November windows the Cranes played DR Congo in Johannesburg and won 2-0 on 2 October 2026. Friendlies carry the same 1X2 and total-goals markets as qualifiers at the ranked brands. They are priced later and with fewer player lines.
The home qualifiers are in Hoima, and the Botswana match is the second Cranes qualifier at the new ground. Kick-off at 19:00 on a Saturday puts the match on a phone screen for most of the country. The betting apps page is the place to compare the in-play cashiers.
The finals in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania are the first Cup of Nations with three hosts. The Cranes' matches there will be priced on the same markets as the qualifiers. The 15% at payout applies to each of them at a licensed brand.
Questions punters ask
How much is a ticket for the Botswana match in Hoima?
FUFA announced the prices on 27 October 2026: UGX 20,000 for Ordinary Lower, UGX 30,000 for Ordinary Upper and UGX 150,000 for VIP. Kick-off in Hoima is 19:00 on the Saturday, at the same ground where the Cranes beat Libya in September.
Does a qualifier bet include extra time?
No. Group matches in the qualifiers are played home and away over 90 minutes, and 1xBet's rules settle a player to score at any time on regular time, with added time counted. A match result bet on a Cranes group game is therefore settled on the score at the final whistle of the second half.
