Betting sites in Uganda ranked for 2026

Betting sites in Uganda holding an NLGRB number lead the ranking, foreign-licensed brands open to shilling sign-ups follow. The sequence is the partner order used across this site.
Licence, published welcome, deposit floor, rollover: those four fields fill each row. An empty rollover field means the brand has stated none for Uganda.
1win
Ugandans join 1win on an offshore licence. The welcome package stacks four deposit matches that rise from 100% to 150%, plus some free spins, and clears only in the casino games marked Bonus Wagering. A sportsbook-only account leaves it untouched. The Android app comes from the brand's own domain.
22Bet
22Bet's number on the NLGRB list is NLGRB-BM-26-0221, under Arcadia Hospitality Limited; USh 4,000 opens a 100% match worth up to USh 550,000. The bonus clears under the 5x rule, three legs minimum at 1.40, within 7 days. MTN Mobile Money and Airtel Money sit in the cashier; apps cover Android and iOS.
BetWinner
BetWinner, on a Curaçao licence, pays 200% on a first deposit of USh 3,500 or more, capped at USh 900,000. One half is cleared by 5 turnovers on three-leg multibets at 1.40, the other by 30 turnovers in Win Games, both within 30 days. Airtel Money, MTN MoMo, cards and Skrill fund it; apps exist for both platforms.
1xBet
Advanced Gaming Limited is the company on 1xBet's Ugandan licence (NLGRB-BM-26-0206); a USh 4,000 deposit is matched 300%, to a USh 1,250,000 ceiling. The bonus follows the same 5x rule as 22Bet but gives 30 days, the longest clock among the licensed offers; handicap and total legs fall outside the count. Android and iOS apps are published.
Paripesa
Paripesa, licensed offshore, doubles a first deposit to a ceiling of USh 400,000. Apps exist for Android and iOS. The shilling rollover is unpublished, so the headline is the only confirmed figure.

888starz
In Uganda 888Starz runs on a Curaçao licence with a 100% sports match and a separate casino offer of 200% plus 150 free spins. No shilling cap and no rollover are published for the market, which leaves the headline as the only firm figure.
Linebet
Linebet, also Curaçao-licensed, credits 100% up to the shilling value of €100 on the first deposit. Android and iOS apps are published; the shilling rollover is unpublished.
25+ only. Betting carries risk; stake what you can afford to lose. Terms apply at the bookmaker.
For a first account on MTN MoMo or Airtel Money with a complaint route behind it, 22Bet and 1xBet pair an NLGRB number with a published 5x rollover. 1xBet gives 30 days to clear it; 22Bet gives 7.
Each licensed brand has its own post: 22Bet in Uganda and 1xBet in Uganda set out the licence, the floor and the clock; the 1xBet promo code DATA0 has its own page.

The NLGRB register: list of online betting companies in Uganda

Once a year the NLGRB issues the list of online betting companies in Uganda, each under its company name with a number: a bookmaker's starts NLGRB-BM, a casino-and-sports licence NLGRB-CS. On the list, 22Bet is Arcadia Hospitality Limited and 1xBet is Advanced Gaming Limited.
| Bookmaker | Company | Licence number | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| betPawa | CHOP GAMING LIMITED | NLGRB-CS-26-0182 | On the local register |
| ForteBet | MASSALIA LIMITED | NLGRB-BMTOL-26-0186 | On the local register |
| Betika | SPORTIVE LIMITED | NLGRB-CS-25-0161 | On the local register |
| AbaBet | ABA VENTURES LIMITED | NLGRB-BM-26-0226 | On the local register |
| BongoBongo | QUICK VENTURE LIMITED | NLGRB-CS-26-0207 | On the local register |
| BangBet | EVERWIN GOLDEN SILK UGANDA CO. LIMITED | NLGRB-CS-26-0251 | On the local register |
| Gal Sport Betting | A BETTER PLACE SMC LIMITED | NLGRB-CS-26-0170 | On the local register |
betPawa, ForteBet, Betika, AbaBet, BongoBongo, BangBet and Gal Sport Betting sit in the table unlinked, each with a 2025 or 2026 number to check against the list.
BetWinner, Paripesa, 888Starz and Linebet take Ugandan customers under offshore licences; a dispute with them has no Ugandan regulator to go to. As stakes rise, so does the case for a licensee.
Their terms sit in four posts: BetWinner, Paripesa, 888Starz and Linebet; the 1win post explains where its four deposit matches clear.
Online betting Uganda welcome offers and their rollover

Online betting Uganda offers run from 100% capped at USh 400,000 to 300% capped at USh 1,250,000; the rollover says which is worth claiming. 22Bet and 1xBet free the bonus once five turnovers of three-leg accas at 1.40 are settled; BetWinner applies that rule to half its bonus and 30 turnovers in Win Games to the other half.
| Bookmaker | Licence | Offer terms | Payments | Apps | Products |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1win | – | – | – | Android | Sportsbook, Casino |
| 22Bet | NLGRB NLGRB-BM-26-0221 | Min. deposit USh 4,000 · 5x · 3+ legs · odds 1.40+ · 7 days | MTN Mobile Money, Airtel Money | Android, iOS | Sportsbook, Casino |
| BetWinner | Curaçao | Min. deposit USh 3,500 · 5x · 3+ legs · odds 1.40+ · 30x (Win Games) · 30 days | MTN Mobile Money, Airtel Money, Bank transfer, Visa, Mastercard, Skrill | Android, iOS | Sportsbook, Casino |

| Linebet | Curaçao | – | – | Android, iOS | Sportsbook, Casino |
1xBet is the worked case. A USh 100,000 first deposit brings USh 300,000 in bonus. Five turnovers on that is USh 1,500,000 of settled three-leg accas at 1.40 and up, inside 30 days: 150 slips of USh 10,000, five a day.
22Bet's 100% on the same deposit asks for USh 500,000 inside 7 days, which is 50 slips in a week. The same deposit at BetWinner makes USh 200,000 of bonus, half of which is released only after USh 3,000,000 of Win Games stakes.
1xBet's larger bonus suits a punter who already books several multibets a day for a month, 22Bet's smaller one a punter who fits fifty slips into one week, and the BetWinner casino half a player already in that lobby. The online casino page covers those terms.
How the legs, the minimum odds and the clock interact is worked through in the multibet post, and the plain multiplication in the accumulator post. The BetWinner code field is covered separately.
Mobile money deposits with MTN MoMo and Airtel Money

Mobile money carries almost every deposit in Uganda. The MTN or Airtel line receives a prompt, the PIN confirms it, and the balance moves before the screen refreshes. Both networks appear in the 22Bet and BetWinner cashiers; BetWinner adds Skrill, the two card schemes and bank transfer.
At a licensed brand the payout reaches the same MoMo number after the identity check, with 15% of the net win removed. A USh 100,000 win is paid as USh 85,000 plus the returned stake.
Welcome-offer floors start at USh 3,500 at BetWinner.
Hold the account and make the deposits from one MoMo number and the first payout clears. The betting apps page compares the Android and iOS downloads and their in-app cashiers.
A first slip from deposit to payout is walked through in how to bet online in Uganda; the prompt side of it in the USSD post; every line of the ticket in the betslip post.
Sports betting on the Uganda Premier League and the Cranes

Sports betting in Uganda is football first: the English Premier League on weekends, the Uganda Premier League with Vipers, KCCA and SC Villa, and Uganda Cranes qualifiers when the national team plays. A three-leg multibet is the ticket Ugandans build, and no published rollover accepts anything shorter.
The board next to the ranking shows Uganda Premier League fixtures and the best 1X2 price at the ranked books for each, with recent results a tab away. The licensed brands run in-play markets, cash out and virtual football.
The round's kick-offs and prices are written up in the Uganda Premier League fixtures post, the national team's calendar in the Cranes fixtures post. In-play mechanics sit in the live betting post and the between-rounds games in the virtual sports post.
Aviator and other crash games run on the casino balance; the Aviator page covers the game and its tax treatment. A punter with two slips a weekend should let the board price choose the brand; 5% more on each slip outlasts any bonus that never clears.
Is betting legal in Uganda, and why the age is 25

From 25, a Ugandan may bet under the Lotteries and Gaming Act 2016 (Cap. 334), administered by the NLGRB. The age limit is higher than in Kenya or Tanzania, and licensed companies check it at sign-up and before the first withdrawal.
The Board licenses companies yearly, publishes the list, runs a self-exclusion register, issues responsible gaming directives and takes complaints through its website. It has also worked with telecom operators to block unlicensed sites.
The 2026 list is the whole test: a company on it answers to the Act, and a brand absent from it is foreign-licensed, whatever its billboards say.
Betting tax in Uganda at 15% on net winnings

Betting tax in Uganda takes 15% of net winnings, kept back by the betting company at payout and passed to the Uganda Revenue Authority. That rate has applied under the Income Tax (Amendment) Act 2026 since 1 July 2026. Operators pay their own gaming tax too, 30% of gross gaming revenue, and it surfaces in the prices.
USh 20,000 on a 3.00 returns USh 60,000; the USh 40,000 net win gives up USh 6,000, and USh 54,000 is paid. Foreign-licensed brands keep nothing back, and a dispute with them has no Board behind it.
A licensed 2.00 pays like a foreign 1.85 once the 15% is gone, and the licensed brand still comes out ahead when a stake is big enough for the complaint route to count.
The withholding tax post follows the 15% from the URA schedule to the payout statement; the arbitrage post shows what the same 15% does to a two-book gap, and the odds post how a decimal price is built.
Ugandan punters' questions about betting companies
Is betting legal in Uganda?
Yes, from 25, under the Lotteries and Gaming Act 2016 (Cap. 334), with the NLGRB as regulator. No other East African market sets the bar as high; licensees check the age when the account is opened and again before the first payout.
How much tax comes off betting winnings in Uganda?
15% of net winnings, kept back by the betting company at payout and passed to the Uganda Revenue Authority. That rate has applied under the Income Tax (Amendment) Act 2026 since 1 July 2026. The company's own 30% gaming tax on gross revenue is a separate charge.
How do I check an NLGRB licence?
Download the list of licensed companies for 2026 from lgrb.go.ug and search the company name. 22Bet appears as Arcadia Hospitality Limited with NLGRB-BM-26-0221 and 1xBet as Advanced Gaming Limited with NLGRB-BM-26-0206. Local brands carry NLGRB-CS or NLGRB-BM numbers on the same list.
Which payment methods do Ugandan bookmakers accept?
MTN Mobile Money and Airtel Money at the licensed brands, each deposit a prompt on the line answered with a PIN. BetWinner adds bank, card and Skrill routes. Withdrawals return to the same mobile money number after the identity check.
What is the minimum deposit at a Ugandan betting site?
USh 3,500 opens the BetWinner welcome offer, and USh 4,000 opens both 1xBet and 22Bet. Without a bonus the deposit shrinks further, and the smallest stake at each licensed brand is far below any floor.
Can I self-exclude from betting in Uganda?
Yes. The NLGRB runs a self-exclusion register and publishes responsible gaming directives that licensed companies must follow. Register through the Board's page so the exclusion applies across licensees, and keep the confirmation.
Where do I complain about a betting company?
Through the file-a-complaint page on lgrb.go.ug. The complaint should carry the bet ID and the payout request number, the two things the Board quotes to a licensee. The URA toll-free line 0800 217 000 handles tax questions.
Do offshore sites deduct the 15% tax?
No. No Ugandan licence sits behind BetWinner, Paripesa, 888Starz or Linebet, so none of them withholds. They also sit outside the Board's complaint route, so the saving comes with the loss of a regulator.
